Please read through some of the frequently asked questions.
If you have a question that isn’t covered, please feel free to contact us – we are more than happy to help!
Q. What age can I start getting my puppy groomed?
Puppies can be groomed once they have completed the full course of vaccinations from the vet. It is recommended that your puppy waits at least two weeks after the course is complete before coming to the salon. Please contact your vet for more advice on the vaccinations.
Q. My dog has medicated shampoo from the vets- can you use this?
We can use medication shampoo from the vets. Please bring the shampoo with you with clear instructions on the dilation rate and how it should be used. Please talk to the groomer about it before leaving your dog at the salon.
Q. My dog is matted – does this mean it will be shaved short?
It depends on how bad the matting is. The groomer will do the best they can to give you the haircut you desire but this isn’t always possible. When you bring your dog to the salon the coat will be checked, and the groomer will advise you on the best haircut for your dog.
Q. How often should my dog be groomed?
It depends on the age, breed, and coat type of your dog. We recommend puppies are groomed every 4 weeks, wooly coated dogs are groomed every 6 weeks and wire coated dogs every 8 weeks. Please contact us if you’d like help or advice about your dog’s coat type
